Arizona Tax Rate Changes, September 2015


 Higher rates for Mammoth, Arizona, September 2015.

The Arizona Department of Revenue releases monthly rate tables for transaction privilege tax and other tax rates, which list all taxable activities in each jurisdiction. Rate changes don’t always apply to each activity.

Mammoth

In Mammoth, the rate for the following activities will increase from 2% to 4% on September 1, 2015:

  • Advertising
  • Amusements
  • Contracting – prime
  • Contracting – speculative builders
  • Contracting – owner builder
  • Job printing
  • Manufactured buildings
  • Timbering and other extraction
  • Publication
  • Hotels
  • Resident
  • Commercial rental, leasing and licensing for use
  • Rental, leasing and licensing for use of TPP
  • Restaurant and bars
  • Retail sales
  • MRRA amount
  • Communications
  • Transporting
  • Utilities

Rates for the following activities remain as they were in August:

  • Severance – metal mining (0.10%)
  • Residential rental, leasing and licensing for use (2%)
  • Use tax purchases (2%)
  • Use tax from inventory (2%)

In addition, Mammoth will have two new taxable activities, both subject to the higher 4% rate:

  • Hotel/motel (additional tax)
  • Retail sales of food for home consumption
