Remitting Sales Tax at Minnesota State Fair

  • Aug 5, 2015 | Gail Cole

 Minnesota State Fair

There are going to be many new attractions at the Minnesota Department of Revenue.

This year, seasonal sales tax filers will be able to pay sales tax at the fairground. Payments will be accepted on September 8 at the Department of Revenue walk-up service window at 1311 Cosgrove Street, on the south side of the Libby Conference Center. According to the updated Sales Tax Fact Sheet 140, “If you pay at the fair, we will file your return if you provide the necessary information.”

The department also reminds that vendors who include sales tax in their prices must post a
“tax included” sign in their stand or booth.

Traveling vendors can simplify sales tax compliance in Minnesota and other states with automated sales tax Software-as-a-Service. Learn how it works.
