Arizona Sales Tax Changes, January 2016

In June 2015, the City Council of Sedona, Arizona, approved a resolution authorizing the Arizona Department of Revenue to administer the city’s transaction privilege tax (TPT). As a result, the department will commence collection and administration of Sedona TPT on January 1, 2016. For tax reporting periods prior to January 1, 2016, returns should be submitted to Revenue Discovery Systems.

Rate changes

The Town of Prescott Valley will increase transaction privilege tax from 2.33% to 2.83% for all business classifications except severance — metal mining (which remains at 0.10%).

Rate changes are also set to take effect in Gilbert and Winslow.
