Washington Cities Grow, January 2016

 Walla Walla, Washington (say it 5x fast) will expand in 2016.

Although there are no sales tax rate changes scheduled for the start of 2016 in Washington, more than a dozen municipalities are expanding via annexation. Annexations may alter the sales tax rate in the annexed areas.

Cities with annexations, effective January 1, 2016:

  • Colfax, Whitman County
  • Grandview, Yakima County
  • Leavenworth, Chelan County
  • Montesano, Grays Harbor County
  • Richland, Benton County
  • Sammamish, King County
  • Sedro-Wooley, Skagit County
  • Stanwood, Snohomish County
  • Tieton, Yakima County
  • Tumwater, Thurston County
  • Union Gap, Yakima County
  • Vancouver, Clark County
  • Walla Walla, Walla Walla County
  • Wenatchee, Chelan County
  • Yakima, Yakima County
