  • Dec 18, 2015 | Gail Cole

Extended hours provided by NY Tax Department - to help sales tax filers.

Need a little help filing sales tax this month? If you file in New York, you’re in luck. The New York State Department of Taxation and Finance is offering extended sales tax call center hours so that businesses and tax professionals can file on time. The deadline for quarterly sales tax returns is Monday, December 21, 2015.

Extended call center hours:

  • Friday, December 18, 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, December 19, 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
  • Monday, December 21, 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Not every tax department asks employees to man the phones Friday after 5 p.m. or Saturday morning. A shout out to the New York Department of Taxation and Finance for extending a helping hand during this holiday tax filing time.

You can reach the New York Sales Tax Information Call Center at 518-485-2889. Additional information.
