Indiana Gas Use Tax Rate Change, February 2016

Indiana: February 2016 gas use tax rate announced.

Gasoline use tax in Indiana is based on the statewide average retail price per gallon of gasoline, which is multiplied by 7% and then rounded up to the nearest one-tenth of one percent.

Each month, the Indiana Department of Revenue announces the gas use tax rate for the following month. Rates fell during the fall of 2015 but now appear to be holding steady. The rate for January is 10 cents per gallon, and it remains 10 cents per gallon through February 29, 2016. Additional information.
