Kansas: New Sales Tax Rates, April 2016


 April brings new special sales tax districts to Kansas.

There are no changes to existing state and local sales tax rates in Kansas as of April 1, 2016. However, several new Community Improvement Districts (CIDs) are created as of that date.

Effective April 1, 2016, the following cities will have the following new CIDS (listed with local rates in parentheses and combined rates):

Emporia

  • Emporia Flinthills Mall CID (1.00%): 9.50%
    • 2702 – 2720 W 15th Ave (even addresses)
    • 1604 – 1700 Industrial Road (even addresses)

Ottawa Center

  • Ottawa Center CID (0.3%): 9.40%
    • 1816 – 1940 S Princeton (even addresses)
    • 1951 – 2001 S Princeton Circle Dr (odd addresses)
    • 120 E 19th St

Overland Park

  • Overland Park Nall Hills CID (1.00%): 9.85%
    • 9502 – 9628 Nall Ave (even addresses)
    • 5601 – 5665 W 95th Street (odd addresses)
  • Overland Park Ranch Mart South CID (1.00%): 9.85%
    • 3639 – 3881 W 95th Street (odd addresses)
    • 9521 – 9525 Mission Road (odd addresses
