Utah’s fuel tax rate for compressed natural gas (CNG), liquefied natural gas (LNG) and hydrogen used to power motor vehicles will increase, effective July 1, 2016.
New fuel tax rates
- Compressed natural gas: 12.5 cents per gasoline gallon equivalent
- Liquefied natural gas: 12.5 cents per diesel gallon equivalent
- Hydrogen used to power motor vehicles: 12.5 cents per GGE
