Kansas sales tax rate changes, October 2016


 New local tax rates take effect in Kansas, October 2016.

Several local sales and use tax rate changes are set to take effect in Kansas on October 1, 2016.

Rate changes

The City of Salina will increase the local sales and use tax rate by 0.35%, for a new combined rate of 8.75%. Due to this change, the rate in the Salina S&B South Ninth Community Improvement District (CID) will jump to 10.75%.

New special district

A new special district comes into being on October 1. The Olathe Santa Fe Square CID will have a rate of 1%, for a total tax rate of 10.225%. It covers odd addresses between (and including) 13505 and 13519 S Mur-Len Rd.
