A number of local sales and use tax rate changes are set to take effect in Kansas at the start of the fourth quarter.

Rate changes

The following rates take effect on October 1, 2016:

  • Arkansas City: 9.25%
  • Arkansas City Summit Plaza CID: 10.25%
  • Salina: 8.75%
  • Salina S&B South Ninth CIC: 10.75%

New districts

The Olathe Santa Fe Square Community Improvement District (CID), located at 12505 – 12519 S Mur-Len Rd (odd addresses), is created with a rate of 10.225%. Additional information.
