Nebraska sales tax rate changes, April 2019

Several local sales and use tax rate changes will take effect in Nebraska on April 1, 2019.

New local sales and use taxes

A new 1% local sales and use tax is being imposed in the following locations, bringing the total state and local rate in each to 6.5%:

  • Ansley
  • DeWitt
  • Laurel
  • Pleasanton
  • Hubbard is levying a 1.5% local tax, bringing the total rate to 7%.

Local sales and use tax rate increases

Dakota City is increasing the local sales and use tax rate to 1%, for a combined rate of 6.5%.

The local rate in Clay Center, Harrison, Oakland, Osmond, and Pender is jumping to 1.5%, for a combined rate of 7%.

Beatrice, Fullerton, Grand Island, Loup City, Ord, Paxton, and Sargent will each increase local sales and use tax to 2%, bringing the total state and local rate in each to 7.5%.
