The Partner Account Services Manager (PAS) functions as a key resource for Avalara partners, providing general assistance and guidance for non-sales related matters. This is a highly collaborative role that requires close coordination with multiple Avalara teams, including Partner Launch, Partner Support, Strategic Alliances, Marketing and Sales.

The PAS is a partner centric position, managing inbound requests from signed Avalara partners, providing internal guidance to various Avalara teams, and general partner outreach. PASs will have both assigned partner responsibilities as well as partner triage duties. This is a critically important position at Avalara, with a focus on providing a world class experience to our signed partners and acting as an advocate on behalf of our partners to internal teams.

Job Duties


  • Perform general account management duties (non-sales related) for existing Avalara partners (commissions, usage, etc.)
  • Perform outreach to assigned partners to update internal documentation and facilitate additional areas of growth for the partnership (deepen the moat), including but not limited to augmenting connector functionality (badges), participation in Certified Implementation Partner (CIP) program, etc.
  • Project manage tickets routed to the Partner Services team and coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely resolution
  • Provide specific communications and guidance to assigned partners as appropriate
  • Update Salesforce and other internal documentation as needed (data hygiene)
  • Serve as an internal liaison for Partner Management, Strategic Alliances, Partner Support, and Sales
  • Provide feedback to Partner Launch and other internal teams regarding missing or outdated partner specific documentation

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience in an account management or customer/partner support role
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven ability to collaborate closely with multiple functional areas to deliver solutions for partners
  • Passion for working with partners
  • Problem solving mentality leveraging internal resources
  • Adaptable, flexible, curious, driven, quick to learn, results oriented, creative, resourceful, detail oriented, and highly organized
  • Organized self-starter, able to manage a variety of tasks with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to learn some technical aspects of our products
  • Experience with Jira, Salesforce and Microsoft Office
