We are creating a new position as Senior Sales Enablement Manager to support our exponential growth plans in the EMEA region. Based in the UK, reporting to the EMEA Sales Operations Director, you will partner with our commercial leadership teams to drive sustainable commercial success and raise the bar in terms of sales effectiveness including the usage of best in class tools (Salesforce, Outreach, Gainsight).

In close partnership with cross functional teams (such as Operations, Product and Finance), you will be responsible for designing and implementing the sales methodology as well as creating new training materials/programmes for onboarding and upskilling existing employees. You will drive innovation in all aspects of training delivery, using a variety of training techniques including instructor-led classroom training, virtual-led training and webcasts, as well as hands-on labs and self-directed learning materials.

You will know the Avalara ecosystem deeply and deliver training for all sales employees. You will gather feedback and provide insights back to the EMEA Leadership Team and global training teams to continuously improve content and delivery.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver consistent, scalable training programs to meet full-cycle enablement needs for New Business Sales and Account Management: new hire, continuing education, and skill optimization
  • Capture sales enablement requirements, working with the VP of EMEA sales and the EMEA sales leadership to design a robust sales enablement plan for the EMEA region
  • Design high impact learning programmes for an EMEA sales audience, based on content that can be easily updated and localised - including the creation of high-quality learning content from existing and new sources
  • Establish and manage sales enablement governance in the EMEA region; oversee the creation of an industry-leading, world-class Enablement function
  • Support sales skill building for the EMEA sales group in collaboration with L&D organisation
  • Review current sales methodology and collaborate with sales process and methodology vendors, to roll out the identified best in class sales methodology, aligned with our existing sales tools (mainly salesforce).
  • Create a strong feedback culture and ensure success measures and metrics are in place to show the business impact of sales learning events and workshops.
  • Support sales leaders in best sales practices for managing individual sales performances
  • Preparing ongoing reports and dashboards linking sales enablement efforts with time to ramp, satisfaction, content knowledge/comprehension, and performance
  • Use data and a well-developed internal network to identify and execute high return enablement activities.
  • Required Skills

  • Educated to Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with with at least 5+ years of sales training experience
  • Ability to establish and scale programs with matrixed dependencies and stakeholders
  • Strong business acumen with demonstrated ability to provide practical insights from first-hand experience.
  • Experience working with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) and sales tools
  • Familiarity with Sales Content Management tools
  • Proficient in Google Docs, Excel,, dashboards and reporting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate complex concepts concisely and compellingly.
  • Strong understanding of methodologies, sales process, customer lifecycle, and revenue tech stack
  • Ability to build relationships and influence all levels within the organisation, especially sales, sales management, and sales leadership
  • Solid analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to take a hands-on approach to building enablement solutions in a fast-moving environment.
  • Demonstrated project management capability in a highly matrixed organization, including vendor contributions.
  • Customer focus, with the aim of delighting customers throughout the sales process and subsequent value delivery.
  • Ability to write articles, record and edit video, build excellent presentation slides, and author using standard content tools, plus CMS and LMS
  • Comprehensive organizational and logistics skills; experience managing branching activity calendars across multiple invite lists and time zones
