Avalara lives at the crossroads of ecommerce, providing sales tax calculation and compliance across industries, borders, and tax types to more than 30,000 global customers. We're looking for a Senior Partner Marketing Manager to join our evolving Partner Marketing team, leading co-marketing GTM plans and campaigns with some of our most strategic ecommerce partners.

Focusing on demand / opportunity generation and driving brand awareness, you will work closely with our internal partner management team to build partner relationships and marketing strategies that align to our mutual goals for success. You will also be working with the broader Avalara marketing team including prospect, customer, event, product and other seasoned marketers to drive timely and effective execution of campaigns & initiatives.

Responsibilities:


  • Plan, execute, and evaluate joint partner marketing campaigns that leverage a variety of channels including email, webinars, events, social media, etc., to drive demand & lead generation


  • Establish strong relationships with partners, their marketing teams, and internal Avalara stakeholders including account management, sales, marketing, etc.

  • Analyze and understand the ecommerce landscape and assigned partners' goals, objectives, and drivers for success

  • Work closely with internal operations and sales teams to ensure attribution, successful deployment, and analytics of campaigns

  • Measure and deliver positive ROI on campaigns & initiatives

  • Deliver consistent communication of campaign status and results to marketing leadership, sales, and other key stakeholders

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field

  • 5+ years of marketing experience with a strong record of accomplishment in partner marketing

  • Experience working with Shopify and/or BigCommerce a plus

  • A deep understanding of the ecommerce landscape, B2B marketing and outreach to different audiences including SMB, Mid-Market and Enterprise


  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • A proactive self-starter who is a critical/strategic thinker with exceptional attention to detail

  • Strong, collaborative team player with experience working across a matrixed marketing organization
