Greek VAT registrations
- Nov 7, 2016 | Richard Asquith
The Greek tax authorities are to provide directly registered foreign EU entities with new facilities to update their VAT registrations.
Since 2013, non-resident companies from other EU member states have been able to register directly in Greece without the need to appoint a local tax agent. The tax authorities will now allow such companies to electronically deregister or change their VAT details online. Companies already registered before 2013 with a tax representative may now be able switch to a direct registration and retain their existing VAT number.
