Namibia raises VAT registration threshold

Namibia is to raise its VAT registration threshold from 1 November 2016.

The threshold above which companies must register for Value Added Tax will increase from NA$200,000 to NA$500,000.

Namibia's VAT rate is currently 15%, close to the average for Africa of 16%.
