Tunisia raises VAT to 19%

Tunisia plans to raise its VAT rate 1% to 19% in 2018. The reduced VAT rates will also be raised by 1% to 13% and 7%.

The measure is part of a package of changes designed to reduce the country’s deficit from 6% to under 5%.
