India President ratifies April 2017 GST

The Indian President has given his assed to the constitutional amendment to implement a new Goods & Services Tax (GST) from 1 April 2017.
The issue of the nationwide rate for the consumption tax has not yet been resolved. It is likely to be between 16% and 18%. A new Council is to be formed to review this issue.
