Washington sales tax rate increases, January 1, 2019

Several local sales and use tax rate changes took effect in Washington state at the start of the year.

Local sales and use tax rates increased by the following amounts effective January 1, 2019 (listed with the new combined state and local rate).

  • Ephrata: 0.2% (8.2%)
    • The combined rate for car dealers and leasing companies in Ephrata is 8.1%.
  • Marysville: 0.1% (9.2%)
    • The combined rate for car dealers and leasing companies in Marysville is 9.1%.
  • Ocean Shores: 0.2% (9%)
    • The combined rate for car dealers and leasing companies in Ocean Shores is 8.7%.
