Avalara 1099 & W-9 supports the e-filing and e-delivery of many IRS form types, including Form 5498-SA for health savings accounts.

What is Form 5498-SA and when is it required?

Form 5498-SA reports contributions, rollovers, and other information related to Health Savings Accounts (HSAs), Archer Medical Savings Accounts (MSAs), and Medicare Advantage MSAs.

Trustees or custodians in the United States must file a 5498-SA for each individual that has an HSA, Archer MSA, or Medicare Advantage MSA to report contributions, rollovers, and the fair market value of the account as of year-end.

Can I file Form 5498-SA online?
